Mark,

My ELT antenna is mounted in the cockpit, on the right side between the seats - pictures here. The new antenna is about 3 inches longer than the old one. If I flip my original mount upside down, that puts the mounting location 2 inches lower than it is now. If that doesn't do it I'll make a new mount with a base another inch lower. The new antenna sits at a bit of an angle - I might have to bend the angle of the mount slightly so the antenna does not hit the brace that supports the front seat back.
