Wednesday I finished trimming the top of the induction snorkel so that if fit properly, and I drilled the angle that attaches the left baffle floor to the left side baffle. Thursday I trimmed the pieces of angle that attach to the top of the snorkel and drilled the outboard one in place. I discovered that the inboard one wouldn't fit flat against the snorkel. Today I mixed up some fibreglas resin thickened with microfibres to go fill in the spaces under the inboard angle on the snorkel. I waxed the face of the angle, put a bunch of thickened fibreglass on the snorkel, sprayed some WD-40 on the clecoes and clecoed the angle in place. Then I cleaned up the fibreglas that got squished out and set it aside to cure. I also put some of the thickened fibreglas on the snorkel flange where it mates to the fuel injection servo. I'll sand it down after it cures to improve the fit to the servo.
